Really Now??

OK, let me lay the ground work for you... The company I work for is a mechanical contracting company and we do Plumbing and HVAC, Right now we have eight people on the plumbing side of things and two plumbing jobs active... Of the eight people we have five are foreman... We have another plumbing job coming up in about two weeks, and they are going to move the foreman over one of the jobs to the new job to start it up... And now onto the problem at hand... When they do this who do you think will finish the job he is leaving?? Perhaps one of the other three foreman the company has?? Of course not, that would make far too much sense, instead let's promote one of the three others up to being a foreman... But, let's not get the most qualified one, in fact let's not even get the next one in line who knows something about plumbing (He's classified as a helper by the way), No, let's get the most incompetent one of them all, the one who shouldn't have been hired on s a mechanic in the first place, the one who was a service plumber who knows absolutely NOTHING about new construction or quality of work, the one who drinks on the job and pops pills on the weekends... Yea, let's choose him to promote to foreman and the we can make a bad business decision and slap out other employees in the face at the same time... Now we have six out of eight plumbers who are foreman and three jobs... Really Now?? Did that seem like the right thing to do?? I don't think so and I hope when they open their eyes it's too late and the man who made this decision goes down the drain with his little nut hugging service plumber!!

P.S. I really do enjoy working for this company, and have been with them for nine years, it is just the "Plumbing Superintendent" that we have doesn't know how to make proper business decisions and plays favorites more than he goes back on his word... (which is constantly)
